Jun 11, 2012 How to setup with a OpenWRT router? - Powered by Kayako A nice member of us wrote a tutorial for OpenWRT setup. I wrote this little How-To on base of the "Barrier Breaker"(r42801) OpenWRT-Version. I use my OpenWRT TP-Link Router behind a fritzbox (router) via WAN. You have to use secure DNS on the First Router(in my case Fritzbox). Fix 'TLS Error: TLS handshake failed' on OpenVPN client Do a packet sniff, like: tcpdump -ni eth0 udp and port 1194 on the server and ensure if packets are arriving. If they are there may be problem with firewall dropping packets, if no then most probably there is some problem with port forwarding on the router.
