Mar 07, 2007 · I am currently living in a dorm so I do not have access to a modem. My port is actually down, but before it went down it still was stuck on "acquiring network address." I tried it on my roommate's port and the same thing happened. I have been connecting with an ethernet cord for over half a year and didn't have any problems.
